FRIENDS OF WORTHING TOWN FC

We are very excited to announce a new development for Worthing Town Football Club in the creation of the Friends of Worthing Town Football Club (FoWTFC). The purpose of the FoWTFC is to:

 

• Support the members of WTFC by helping to provide an accessible, sustainable and enjoyable football learning experience for all members to enhance and support their wellbeing and health through football.

• Strengthen the rapport with both the community that is WTFC and with the locality in which WTFC is situated by offering a range of community based fun activities for all to enjoy.

• To raise funds in support of WTFC to enable the club to provide the additional services and equipment that will enable WTFC to continue to flourish

 

Our club is extremely fortunate to benefit from a range of fabulous facilities including the club house, cafe / bar, and access to the 3G pitch which we hire from South Downs Leisure Trust - it costs us about £40,000 just to use this pitch for the season, in addition to that we have to pay rental on the clubhouse, grass pitch fees, referees and so on. It really does add up to a large sum.

 

As members we of course pay a membership fee for our children / players to learn and develop their football skills, but these fees are not enough to cover the cost of the extras that make our club special or to enable our club to continue to grow and offer the opportunities for all that we would like.

 

We are currently a very small group and in order for us to make these events possible we need your help!

We are looking to recruit a minimum of one person per team to give us the capacity of 40 people to help support our club.
